Thinking while drawing

As I’m sitting here working on my next chapter, it suddenly occurs to me that Gabriel has one of the most challenging jobs in the world. (At least, my Gabriel). Not only does he have to deliver sometimes unwanted news, (i.e. Telling Mary that she’s miraculously pregnant), but in my story he also has to keep the other spirits content. And after Christianity started taking center stage that got really hard. Suddenly, not only does Gabriel have to keep the gods from turning on the Creator but he also can’t mess with human free-will.

I also have to give Gabriel credit for also doing what he can to help the gods survive the new religions. Some angels even think that he shouldn’t help the other spirits. It’s not really in his job category, but he does it anyway, even though the other angels don’t always understand it.

Anyway, it just came to me that I gave this character a really hard job, but he makes the most of it, which is what many people should strive to do.

The Morrigan is Updated!
I’m actually trying out a lot of new things this week. This new way to give a sneak peak of my comic actually came from arswiss, who does some amazing comic work herself.
This week we are actually getting a flash from the past, so come and check out the history of the Celtic gods.

If you need a little bedtime reading come check out The Morrigan

And we’re back! The Morrigan is going to start updating again. After going on a break for Rose City Comic Con, I’m glad to be getting back to doing this.
Actually, some fun news. I’m going to NYCC to help out the authors of Kill Shakespeare. But don’t worry, this shouldn’t delay any updates. (God I love having a buffer.)

Old Gods struggling to survive in the modern world.

An amazing short comic. What I love about this comic is that it doesn’t talk about what’s wrong with what he’s doing, but that he can be loved for who he is.

The single best speech I’ve seen on feminism yet.

Everyone should share this. Gender inequality is not just a woman’s problem, it’s men’s problem too. Because let’s admit, it’s not just women who are forced to remain silent, but men as well. So let’s start changing that.
